IMAGINE A SCHOOL THAT COMES TO YOU!
You've been wanting to go to school for evangelism and outreach, but you can't travel that far! This is why Beyond Pews Outreach Training Institute exists. Our school is unique in that it travels to you, bringing you quality, uplifting and Christ-centered training that will prepare you to do bible work in your church and community. Our mission is simple, do what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, "Go, make disciples!"
QUESTION: HOW EXACTLY DO I TAKE THIS COURSE?
What we do is arrange with the leadership at your church to bring this program there, instead of having you come to us. So you take the course in a classroom setting at your church. This is what makes this training unique. Normally, schools are established in a certain location, and people have to take time off their jobs in order to attend class. These schools are wonderful, but Beyond Pews seeks to eliminate having to make people travel to us by bringing our class to you!
QUESTION: CAN I TAKE THIS COURSE WITHOUT THE CHURCH?
Unfortunately, we do not offer this training on an individual basis. Beyond Pews is a traveling school that visits your entire church and turns it into a training session. Soon, we will have online training programs and will announce it when the moment arrives!
QUESTION: HOW PRACTICAL IS THIS TRAINING PROGRAM?
Besides training in the theory of outreach, there are many practical aspects to this course. For example, we teach you techniques to preaching, but we also do some actual preaching. We teach you methods to going out in your community to find souls, but we also literally go out and knock on doors. There are other activities that take place, depending on your churches location. We research your community prior to beginning the course. So if we find a place where we can, for example, feed the homeless, or do some other activity, that activity will be added to the curriculum.
QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
That depends. We have a few courses, a 4 Week Course, a 1 Week Course, and a 1 Day Course. We are also able to provide a 6 Week Course. There may be some variations because not every church and its location is the same, so we work with your churches leadership to arrange the course in such a way that it will meet the churches needs and convenience. For example, each one of our courses require a class on each Sunday, but perhaps your church conducts business meetings on Sundays. We can make any necessary adjustments so that the training program does not interfere with the churches pre-scheduled agenda.
QUESTION: WHAT IS THE COST OF THIS TRAINING
We bring our training to your church on a suggested donation basis. The amount is depending on the length of the training you select and your church size. Please contact us to discuss this further.
There are a few other requirements before initiating the course at your church:
1) There must be a certain amount registered students at your church before we begin. This amount is decided upon during the initiation process.
2) The church must pay for all traveling expenses, which may be for one to three instructors.
3) The church must provide housing. To avoid extra cost, instructors are happy to stay at a church members home for the duration of the course.
4) The church must provide access to their equipment as our classes are taught with PowerPoint presentations and videos. This means your church must have a projector or a TV screen large enough to use for a classroom size of at least 15 people, speakers with microphones, and computer(s). And it must also provide a printer to print class assignments. If a printer is not available, we can print at the local Staples!
All this must be arranged prior to initiating the course at your church.
QUESTION: DO I NEED ANY MATERIALS FOR THIS COURSE?
Yes, your Bible! And depending on the course your leaders elect, registered students may need to purchase a book or two. We will notify every student of this prior to beginning the course.
QUESTION: WHAT AGE GROUP CAN TAKE THIS COURSE?
These are adult classes, but if a youth wants to take the course, by all means! So long as they take the training seriously and complete all assignments and activities.
QUESTION: WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS?
Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds, from leaders in the Seventh day Adventist Church to lay-men and women who are trained in outreach and have a passion for gospel work.
